Biomechanical Assessment of 3D Data
This section will focus on methods of quantitative assessment, meaning the actual data and measurements, that can be made using 3D systems. We'll break down some of the reports available from 3D systems - specifically a position vs. time graph, and a velocity vs. time graph. We will also get into the biomechanics of how the body actually moves.
Upon completion of this section, you will be able to:
- Describe address positions and normal ranges
- Explain linear vs rotational motion
- Explain ground reaction forces
- Define center of mass
- Define center of pressure
- Summarize the key components of the kinematic sequence of the golf swing
- Describe the relative importance of events in the kinematic sequence
